Robert (Bob) Brow passed in 1965 or early 1966. In 1963 I recall Bob was a fierce competitor on the football field.. As the years went by Bob continued to play football and contributed to the overall success of SLHS football teams of 1963 through 1965. It is so sad that Bob passed away so young before he had a chance to experience all life has to offer.
Trust me, Bob Brow was no saint. He lived down the street from me and would torment me as I walked home from work. He died a criminal in a shootout at a hotel in Hayward.
Yes, Bob Brow was a devil. I understand he came to SLHS after being kicked out of O'Dowd. Yes he was shot to death in a shoot out with police at the Doric Moter Hotel in Hayward. I can't help but wonder what was wrong with him or how was he raised. We had a similar kind of kid at Thomas Jefferson Elementary named Ricky Del Judas. Everyone was scared of him. I wonder what ever became of him.
