Eddy was a nice guy and a class act.  He and I played the same position on the football team, so we had a lot of interaction between us.  There wasn't any resentment from him in our competion, we just had fun together and played the game.  You could sense then that he would grow into being a true gentleman, which he did.  I last saw him at his wife's reunion about 6 years ago, I didn't recognize him but when he told me who he was we just startted right off and had a great time.  He was still that nice, mellow, fun guy.  From reading his obituary, it seems he still loved his football and worked in the game anyway he could.  Rest in peace Eddy.  The world has lost a fine man.

I was saddened to hear of Eddy's passing. He was my first boyfriend in 4th grade at McKinley Elementary. When he introduced me to his wife at our 50th reunion, he told her I was the first girl he ever kissed. What a sweet guy.
