Bob, I can say only "Mele Kalikimaka" (and several weeks late) because it's the only "Hawaiian" holiday phrase I know; BUT, I read on a linguist's site that "mele kalikimaka" is a Hawaiian stereotype and "no one uses that" at all. Soooo,"happy new year"!
The photo of Andy and Greg greeting each other at the reception was, to me, the epitome, the heart of "reunion." Such a friendship photo....
Andy, after I read your idea about having some sort of "in between" reunion, I thought it might be a good idea. Now, I'm unsure. What do you and others think? Might that dilute the attendance for the "50th"? On the other hand, SLHS Class of 1960 schedules mid-point reunions, even a cruise and their "last" reunion---their 50th---was attended by 200 (more?) people "because it was promoted as "the last/final" reunion." But, Class of '60 classmates arrived and said they wanted more reunions! Amazing: We boomers just keep on tickin'.
Maybe get togethers prior to 2015 would be important and fun and would bolster attendance for the 50th?
Greg, thanks again for the website work and for your catalytic "new year" prompt.
